Mission
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, maximising value, and ensuring financial oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will work closely with the Production, Design teams, Subcontractors and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective construction projects.
Your main tasks:
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
- Monitor and control project expenditure, ensuring accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
- Procure subcontractor packages and evaluate bids, providing clear recommendations.
- Prepare tender lists, tender analysis, and tender reports.
- Work with Project Manager/Project Director/Design Manager to develop comprehensive scopes of work.
- Manage subcontractor packages as required.
- Prepare contracts, subcontract applications, and payment notices.
- Resolve commercial issues with clients, contractors, and the wider project team.
- Work collaboratively with the Project Lead and the production team.
- Provide support, guidance, and advice to the project team
Profile
Profile
You have at least 5 years’ experience a Project Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor, client or a subcontractor environment.
Your assets
- Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts forms
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Good technical understanding of construction methods
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Demonstrates ownership, accountability and commitment to professional development
- Pro-active in identifying opportunities to improve commercial, financial and operational practices.
